Process

Process

Just one of the many time-consuming aspects of each work's creation is designing the cowgirl's shirt and this piece was certainly no exception! The fern leaf and cross-hatch patterns were inspired by remnants of linoleum and wallpaper found in an abandoned house. To finish the piece, I couldn’t let her hang in just any old frame, so I created this textural metal frame, cut and assembled here in the studio and custom tailored for Ms. Rose and Thorn.
