This gal feels especially unique in the Vaquera series with her unusual leather hat. Some of my best finds come from the smallest and most obscure thrift stores. One of my favorite treasures? Old leather purses. And cowboy boots. Boy, do I love leather goods! On a recent sojourn into a tiny secondhand store in a tiny mountain town en route to an art festival, I came across some of the most wonderfully worn and well-loved handbags and one perfect pair of boots. They have found new life - after a journey home in the truck - handcut, refinished and perfectly layered, here in Baby Blue's hat, alongside a vintage football I'd been saving for just the right piece.
