Story

Story

... catching their furry coats on the lichens and mosses of the underworld and dragging the colors of the underground rainbows up to the grassy plains. - Dolan Geiman

Ten million years ago the first herd of bison found a crack in the earth and sprinted through it, up towards the sun, catching their furry coats on the lichens and mosses of the underworld rocks and dragging the colors of the underground rainbows up to the grassy plains. They ran as fast as they could, and when they came to a rock wall they butted their heads against it and broke it into four hundred craggy pieces creating the Rocky Mountains. Water rushed from the broken rocks and created the rivers of the plains, and the bison made their homes here, eating the lush grasses and running wild in the shadow of the mountains. At least that's the story I heard from the Mountain Monarch.....
