  • Frame: weathered grey wood frame
  • Residential Commission

The Process

Each Dolan Geiman collage is crafted from hand-cut vintage papers sourced over decades of exploration and careful categorizing, held dearly until the perfect piece arrives to claim their colors and texture. Learn more about the making of paper collages here.

The Story

What a joy to create a custom work in a landscape that feels oh-so-familiar! As the papers for this piece came together for a VIP commission client, I imagined myself sitting on a back deck in the valleys of Pennsylvania, watching the horizon for an old friend to arrive. Open skies, the scent of spring in the air, at last, the visitor arrives.
