Working in conjunction with an art consulting firm specializing in healthcare art, Dolan was asked to create a series of artworks in the theme “My Home/My Backyard” for a children’s hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. The five resulting 3-D wall art assemblages feature a variety of backyard animals in bright, cheerful colors and finished in shallow, shadowbox frames. The commission was so well received that Dolan was later asked to create four additional constructions for another children’s healthcare facility in the network.
