A throwback to a classic Dolan Geiman mixed media style, this two-dimensional moose is crafted from a hand-cut wooden box frame overlaid on various multi-colored found objects - including ship rope, vintage rulers and decorative molding –  to create a silhouette one might see with some incredible luck hidden amongst shadowy trees. Perfect for your mountain modern home or cabin, or a playful addition to a child’s bedroom, this piece celebrates the magic of what can be created from the found, and what can happen when we adjust our perspective ever so slightly. Story

Story

Dolan Geiman launched his line of silhouette wood cut-outs in the summer 2008 (starting with the guitar) and since then has been actively producing and selling other silhouettes like his deer, Mr. and Mrs., dogs, cats, bison, US map, and a range of other flora and fauna. Others may have followed in our footsteps, but this is the original wood cutout that made its way from Virginia to Chicago and onto the pages of Fossil's, Pendleton's, and UncommonGoods's catalogs.
