Dolan was selected as the Featured Artist for the 2011 Bayou City Art Festival in Houston, Texas. That year also marked the 40th anniversary of the festival. For the occasion, Dolan created two new artworks inspired by the state of Texas and its wildlife. One artwork, My Texas Map, was used for the festival billboard, t-shirt, posters and other promotional materials. Sunshine Artist Magazine later recognized the My Texas Map Bayou City Art Festival poster as best overall art fair poster design in 2011.
