Story
Each of the elements used in the creation of this piece is a small piece of metal that has been painted, screen printed, and hand manipulated to form an organic cup-like shape that will capture light and energy. Everyone will see something different in this piece-something organic, something natural, possibly a puzzle or even something much simpler. The piece can be read in several ways: by standing approximately ten feet away the energy feels very calm, somewhat silent. The movement in the work is very mild. As you approach, however, and get within arms length, you will notice an increase in the pull of the piece, as it opens up and the details become more apparent. There is an ebb and a flow in the work when standing close to it, and a soft rhythm.
