A bespoke mixed media artwork featuring a treasured family member, passing time in his favorite place: a rushing river, where rainbow trout leap and silence is broken only occasionally by the quiet casting of a rod. This piece is created from a hybrid of techniques, including paper collage, hand-cut metal sculpture, ink transfer, and acrylic paint, woven carefully together to evoke stillness and action, patience and energy. Woven throughout the work are antique tacklebox treasures provided by the client, including personal papers and fishing licenses in the mountainsides and fishing lures and vintage packaging in the trout’s scales. Created for a Colorado home overlooking the Indian Peaks, this piece celebrates family history and Western culture. Explore more commission ideas here.
