Process

Process

Each sculptural work in Dolan Geiman's portfolio comes from a country-wide, decades-long search for the perfect materials. The best candidates are those that were tossed aside, left to age gracefully with nature's subtle encouragement, and ultimately arrived at their ideal state of art-readiness: a little worn, a little softened, still retaining their original patina and truly one-of-a-kind appearance. These ducks are constructed from found and salvaged materials ranging in their unique origins from vintage car doors to abandoned coffee cans, precisely affixed with hardware onto an aged, twisted mound of rust-bedecked tin: the perfect tree for a rest for these aquatic marvels.
