Life is so heavy, so strong, so full, so much. Somedays to make it through the day feels like taking a deep breath underwater. The death of the hummingbird is like the most fragile egg cracked and dripped into the least fragile cast iron frying pan: all things sometimes just add up to zero. I had a burial service for the frail winged thing, wrapped her body in a whisper and placed her into the mouth of an orchid. Perhaps this ceremony will be reflected through a prism and give birth to the idea of peace on another planet.
