A longtime Dolan collector asked him to create a
nod to her late father by drawing inspiration from Native American totem poles. She shared many stories about this special man, a personal experience Dolan always enjoys as part of creating custom artwork like this; then, with woven tales in mind and a selection of important life moments to represent in sculpture, Dolan brought together a variety of found objects (see: painted wheels, a kerosene stove burner, a Dutch oven), a stained-glass-like resin bear, and handmade metal sculptural elements (including a set of wings crafted from
repurposed tin and two unique 3D trout), all attached to a spinning base to move with moon in cycles of remembrance.
