A limited edition paper print of the original Celestial Queen (Dusk) paper collage. This contemporary reimagining of Our Lady of Guadalupe, wrapped in a vibrant, multicolored robe in sunrise and navy tones, her head adorned with an ornate crown was originally fashioned from handcut vintage paper with nods to religious relics, design, and arts from centuries past. Take a closer look and see the ceramic work in her crown (pulled from a vintage magazine's article on ancient pottery), sheet music, a tailor's tape measure on antique newsprint, and handwritten messages from ancestors past. A well-known icon in the Dolan Geiman oeuvre, this piece showcases other recognizable aspects of the artist's portfolio, particularly in her subtly floral-printed skin and the shaggy cuts - reminscent of a DG bison collage - in her robe. - Small and large print sizes are produced in editions of 200, while medium sizes are produced in editions of 100.
