Process

Process

Many artists create studies for works to come later, and this in no exception. This smaller mixed media piece allowed Dolan an opportunity to sketch out his idea for the piece and to see how the color palette would work, before moving on to the original, larger work. He often keeps the studies but having been asked time and again to allow them for purchase, he’s finally giving in, haha!
