Hundreds of hand-cut paper birds descend from the sky, a contemporary paper collage melee of flight, feathers, and frenetic movement. Each bird is a collagraph print, hand-cut, printed in relief, and hand painted in tones to match the ever-changing sky. As a flock, they are applied to a background whitewashed and treated with vintage sheet music, a nod to the birdsong of music and auditory treasures that underlie each moment of life – especially as spring migrations bring songbirds home.
