"If you've ever had your hands wrist deep in the rich loamy soil of the Midwest, scraped that red Georgia clay off your boots, or rolled up your shirt sleeves after pitching hay all day in the sun and sweat, then you can appreciate this piece. I remember my granddad used to have four or five tractors, most of them in half-working condition. But I always remember the thrill I got from riding up to the barn beside him on that bouncing seat, his heavy denim jacket smelling of sweet sorghum and diesel fuel. I created this artwork using materials I have collected over the course of several years, traveling through farms, abandoned factories and warehouses throughout the United States. I've gathered these discarded materials of vintage years and combined them into a visual potpourri; the textural essence of the country farmer."
