The original work of art that I loved is sold. What can I do?
Past works are regularly posted to our Flickr-based portfolio. If a work you like is sold, contact us about commissioning a similar work. While no two pieces will be the exact same, Dolan may be able to create a companion piece (like a sibling to the original piece). What’s the difference between your original mixed media and original mixed media collections?
In addition to our past works portfolio on Flickr, you may also view sample works in various made-to-order original mixed media collections. Made-to-order mixed media collections are ongoing collections and Dolan regularly creates multiples of the works in each of these collections. Each work is still one-of-a-kind as the pieces are hand-made and each piece has unique attributes. Woks in these collections are regularly posted to the Etsy shop or may be custom ordered at any time. Because these collections were developed specifically for retailers and commissions, the turn around time for such a commission is generally faster. I love an available or sold work but cannot afford it. Is there any way of commissioning a cheaper version?
Dolan may be able to create a scaled-down or simplified version of the piece. Before completing our Commissions and Special Projects Questionnaire, contact us with a link to the work of interest and your budget to confirm our ability to do such a commission.
Can I commission something totally new?
Yes. For such commission, we do ask that you spend some time detailing your commission idea using the Commissions and Special Projects Questionnaire available on our downloads page. It’s also helpful if you can still provide us with a couple past works that you’ve liked to help us narrow down your aesthetic preference. In general, there is a higher minimum for such commissions.
Can I commission a portrait?
Dolan does not accept portrait commissions at this time.
Is there a minimum budget for commissions?
The minimum budget for most commissions is $500 with the exception of the made-to-order mixed media collections.
Can I commission a Panel Painting?
If there is a particular theme or color Panel Painting you’d like to see, drop us a line. We’d be happy to notify you should such a Panel Painting become available. We love to hear Panel Painting ideas and suggestions from our customers.
Can I order a smaller or larger version of a BOX PRINT reproduction?
Absolutely. There’s no need to complete our questionnaire. Just e-mail us with the Box Print title of interest and the maximum dimensions for the Box Print. We’ll reply with size and pricing information.
